Examples of prophecies in the Bible
|
"The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like
me from among you, from your brethren --- him you shall heed
... And the Lord said to me, They have rightly said all that
they have spoken. I will raise up for them a prophet like you
from among their brethren; and I will put my words in his mouth,
and he shall speak to them all that I command him."
Deuteronomy, 18:15-18 |
"The oracle concerning Arabia. In the thickets in Arabia
you will lodge, O caravans of Dedanites. To the thirsty bring
water, meet the fugitive with bread, O inhabitants of the land
of Tema. For they have fled from the swords, from the drawn
sword, from the bent bow, and from the press of battle. For
thus the Lord said to me, 'Within a year, according to the years
of a hireling, all the glory of Kedar will come to an end; and
the remainder of the archers of the mighty men of the sons of
Kedar will be few; for the Lord, the God of Israel, has spoken.' "
Isaiah, 21:13-17 |
"I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot
bear them now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide
you into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own authority,
but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to
you the things that are to come."
John, 16:12-13 |
